Warner Music Group (WMG), one of the plaintiffs, has announced that it has reached a settlement with Suno and will partner with them.

'Our groundbreaking partnership with Suno is a win for the creative community and a win-win for everyone,' said Robert Kyncl, CEO of WMG. 'As Suno rapidly scales its user base and monetization, we have the opportunity to build a model that drives revenue growth and delivers new fan experiences. The AI will be professionally artistic, following our principles: a licensing model that reflects the value of music on and off the platform, and obtaining explicit permission from artists, songwriters, and composers to use their names, images, likenesses, voices, and music in new AI songs.'

Suno CEO Mikey Schulman added, 'Our partnership with Warner Music will enrich the Suno experience for music lovers and accelerate our mission to change the face of music in the world by increasing the value of music for billions of people. Together, we will evolve the way music is made, consumed, experienced, and shared. This means enhancing creative capabilities, creating opportunities to collaborate and connect with the world's best musicians, and building the largest music ecosystem possible.'

Under the partnership, Suno will release a new licensed model in 2026, and the old model will no longer be available. The new model will require payment for audio downloads and will have download restrictions in certain cases.

To collaborate with the music community, Suno has also decided to acquire Songkick, a concert search platform under WMG.
