'Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity' to start broadcasting in 2026, new special effects hero series 'PROJECT RED' to launch

It has been announced that a new special effects hero series, ' PROJECT RED ,' will begin airing in 2026 in the same time slot as the Super Sentai series, which began airing in 1975. As rumored, the first installment will be ' Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity,' a reimagining of 'Space Sheriff Gavan .'

According to the announcement, the project name is an acronym for ' R ecords of Extraordinary D imensions,' and as the name suggests, it will be a work featuring a red special effects hero. It is planned that various works that will be broadcast in the future will cross over, adding depth to the worldview and creating a multifaceted development.

The first installment is 'Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity,' which reconstructs 'Space Sheriff Gavan,' which aired from 1982 to 1983, from scratch using the latest visual expression and directing techniques. Since the future predictions made in the 1980s have now become a reality, a new Gavan will be presented using visual expression that is only possible in the modern era and a story that resonates with reality.

It will be broadcast on TV Asahi from 9:30 to 10:00 AM on Sundays. It is also described as 'the Super Sentai series slot,' and it will likely be broadcast as the successor to 'Number One Sentai Gojuger.'

Space Sheriff Gavan was revived in 2012, the 30th anniversary of the series, with the film Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger VS Space Sheriff Gavan THE MOVIE, which was also released in the same year.
