A teaser trailer for the cross-media project 'DARK MACHINE THE ANIMATION,' a game and anime for e-sports, has been released.
A project announcement was held for the TV anime ' DARK MACHINE THE ANIMATION, ' which will be broadcast on Fuji TV from 2026, and a teaser PV was released.

The project is described as a 'cross-media project where the player's experience in the game intersects with the story of the anime,' and the project announcement event featured the creative producer of the anime 'DARK MACHINE THE ANIMATION,' Taniguchi Goro, lead mechanic designer Tenjin Hidetaka, director Terada Kazuo, and cast members Ono Kensho, Uchiyama Kouki, and Sugiyama Riho.
Creative producer Taniguchi explained how this project was conceived, saying that with Japanese anime and manga being enjoyed all over the world, the idea was to create a project that was specifically focused on games.
The story is set in a near-future Japan where the value of currency has weakened and goods are now bought and sold using virtual currency issued by the globally popular game 'Dark Machine.'
Ono plays the main character, Kairi, who lives with her grandfather on an isolated island in Chiba, but after his death she travels to Chiba City and becomes a Dark Machine player, where her talent blossoms.
Shin, played by Uchiyama, is a member of the e-sports team 'Carbuncle,' which Kairi joined. He has a connection with 'Gandir,' the team of Ajima, the strongest player of the Dark Machine, which effectively controls Chiba City.
Blanc, played by Sugiyama, acts as a mediator between Kairi and Shin. In the game, he is a sniper.
The role of Rudra, the owner of the ship's coffee shop 'Carbuncle' and the founder of the dark machine team 'Carbuncle,' is played by Miyuki Sawashiro. Kairi's encounter with Rudra leads her to become involved with the dark machines.
Isana, played by Saya Aizawa, is Carbuncle's chef.
Yuichi Nakamura will play Ajima, the 7th 'Senki' who inherited the title of 'Senki,' the strongest dark machine player. He is the leader of the 'Gandhir' and Kairi's greatest enemy.
DARK MACHINE THE GAME, which will be released in conjunction with the anime, is a mecha action shooter with up to 7 vs. 7 battles. The game requires strategic thinking as players control the course of battle by evolving (shifting up) three different sizes of mecha: small, medium, and large.
