Haagen-Dazs' mini cup 'Ganache Chocolat' tasting review, where the rich cocoa flavor spreads with a smooth mouthfeel

Häagen-Dazs will be releasing a new year-round flavor, the mini-cup 'Ganache Chocolat,' on November 18, 2025. The flavor features rich ganache mixed with chocolate ice cream, resulting in a rich, deep chocolate flavor and a rich, smooth texture. I had the chance to try it early, so I sipped it and checked out the flavor.

This is the package for the mini cup 'Ganache Chocolat.' It says 'rich and dense.'

It is classified as ice cream, and its ingredients include cream, concentrated skim milk, sugar, ganache, egg yolk, chocolate, cocoa mass, cocoa powder, vanilla flavoring, vegetable lecithin, stabilizer, etc. Calories are 260 kcal per 110 ml.

Since it is a mini cup, when you open the lid you will find a plastic inner lid.

This is what it looks like when you peel off the inner lid. It's a little frosted, but the surface is beige.

When I put a spoon in and scooped it up, I could see brown ganache sandwiched between the beige chocolate ice cream. When I tasted it, the chocolate ice cream was full of cocoa flavor and had a smooth texture. The sweetness of the chocolate was followed by the characteristic bitterness of cocoa. Furthermore, the rich and elegant bitterness of the cocoa spread from the ganache, and the aftertaste lingered for quite a long time.

If you look at the cross section, you can see that there is a layer of dark brown ganache sandwiched between the chocolate ice cream, which shows that it has a layered structure.

Häagen-Dazs' mini cup 'Ganache Chocolat' will be available at supermarkets and convenience stores nationwide from November 18, 2025. The suggested retail price is 351 yen (tax included).
