◆Steam Controller
The Steam Controller is a controller designed for Steam that connects wirelessly to your PC, and the Steam Machine includes a built-in adapter for connecting to the Steam Controller.

Features include dual trackpads, HD haptic vibration, gyro functionality, rear grip buttons, full-size controls, capacitive analog sticks, a Steam button, and an 8.39 Wh lithium-ion battery for over 35 hours of gameplay.

The analog sticks are next-generation magnetic thumbsticks, designed to improve feel, responsiveness, and long-term reliability.

The dual trackpads are capacitive touch panels that allow for motion control, similar to those found on Steam Decks.

There are four buttons on the back, two on each side.

It also has a gyro function, and the vibration motor is capable of processing complex waveforms, delivering precise, immersive haptics.

And the biggest feature is the plug-and-play Steam Controller Puck, a magnetic charging station.

It is possible to charge it by connecting it, and it is also possible to use it via USB connection while it is connected.

◆Steam Frame
Steam Frame is a standalone VR device optimized for Steam. It features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, 16GB of integrated LPDDR5X RAM, and 256GB or 1TB of storage, with external storage available via microSD card.

The screen is a 2160 x 2160 pixel LCD display with a refresh rate of 72 to 144 Hz, a pancake lens, and a maximum field of view of 110 degrees.

It uses an inside-out tracking system with a total of six cameras, and the pass-through is monochrome.

In addition to a user-accessible expansion port on the front, the device also features eight MIPI dual high-speed camera interfaces at 2.5Gbps, and one PCIe Gen 4 interface. Two speakers are built into each side of the band, facing backwards so as not to interfere with the tracking system.

Eye tracking enables

foveal rendering, which increases the resolution of the central visual field compared to the peripheral visual field.

Steam Frame is a standalone VR device that doesn't connect to a PC, but it does connect wirelessly to your PC using a plug-and-play 6GHz wireless adapter. One radio is dedicated to streaming audio and visuals, and the other connects to Wi-Fi. With two dedicated links, there's no competition for bandwidth.

Not only can you play VR titles, but you can also play non-VR titles on a large virtual screen.

The Steam Frame Controller is used to operate the Steam Frame.

The Steam Frame Controller runs on a single AA battery each, allowing you to play not only VR games but also non-VR games.

The Steam Machine, Steam Controller, and Steam Frame are scheduled to be released in 2026, but the specific release date and price are unknown at the time of writing.
