Sony has announced the 27-inch Gaming Monitor with DualSense Charging Hook, the perfect gaming monitor for playing PlayStation 5 (PS5) games. It features a QHD IPS display that lets you enjoy the latest titles, as well as a charging hook for wireless controllers, allowing you to detach the controller from the monitor and start gaming.

The main features of the '27' Gaming Monitor with DualSense Charging Hook' are as follows:
- Equipped with a QHD IPS display that supports a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1440
- HDR support for rich, vivid image expression
The PS5 and PS5 Pro also support 'Auto HDR Tone Mapping,' which automatically selects the optimal HDR settings during setup.
Supports refresh rates up to 120Hz on PS5 and PS5 Pro, and up to 240Hz on PC and Mac. Both support variable refresh rate (VRR).

There is a lever-like hook on the back of the monitor. It is usually stored in a position that is not visible from the front, and when you finish playing the game, you simply move the hook down.
You can charge the controller by simply hooking it onto the hook as shown below.
The 27-inch Gaming Monitor with DualSense Charging Hook comes with two HDMI IN ports (Ver. 2.1, maximum resolution 2560 x 1440, 240Hz, FRL and VRR compatible) for connection to devices such as PS5, PC, and Mac, one DisplayPort IN port (Ver. 1.4, maximum resolution 2560 x 1440, 240Hz, DSC compatible), two USB Type-A ports, one USB Type-C port, and stereo speakers and a 3.5mm audio output port. It also supports some VESA standards, allowing it to be mounted on a monitor arm or stand.
The 27-inch Gaming Monitor with DualSense Charging Hook is scheduled to be released in Japan and the US in 2026. Details on the release date and sales information will be announced at a later date.
