The cloud streaming feature that allows you to play titles in your library directly on PS Portal without connecting to the PS5 console has officially launched.

The PlayStation Portal Remote Player (PS Portal), a gaming device that allows you to remotely play PlayStation 5 games, has had a beta version of its cloud streaming feature available since November 2024, allowing you to play games without a PS5. It was finally officially implemented on November 6, 2025, making it possible to stream downloadable PS5 games purchased from the PS Store.

The PS Portal is a portable gaming device that was released in November 2023, with a screen and controller integrated into one unit.

On November 6, 2025, the PS Portal received its 'largest update to date,' finally officially implementing the cloud streaming feature. This means that PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers can stream and play downloadable PS5 titles that support cloud streaming in their library directly on the PS Portal.
Cloud streaming is now available for thousands of titles, including popular titles like Astro Bot, Grand Theft Auto V, Ghost of Yōtei, FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH, BIOHAZARD RE:4, Fortnite, and Borderlands 4. Compatible PS5 games from the PlayStation Plus game catalog and classics catalog can also be streamed directly from the PS Portal. A list of compatible titles can be found on the following page.

The update also brings a new UI design.
From the Remote Play home screen, you can connect to a PS5 that's paired with PS Portal and play games installed on the PS5 console. Remote Play itself can be used even if you're not a PlayStation Plus member.

The 'Cloud Streaming' home screen is for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, allowing you to stream and play Cloud Streaming-compatible PS5 games directly on PS Portal.

'Search' allows you to search for games that support cloud streaming.

A new feature for cloud streaming is that players can now purchase items and in-game currency without interrupting the game while streaming.

You can also now access accessibility settings and accept invites from friends while cloud streaming.
