Xperia 10 VII: A review of the new standard model with horizontally aligned lenses for the first time in Xperia

Sony's Xperia smartphone series has adopted a vertical layout for its multiple lenses since they began to be equipped with them, but the Xperia 10 VII , released in October 2025, is the first to adopt a horizontal layout. We tried out this device, which has the tagline 'This is the new standard,' to see what it's like.

The packaging is simple and environmentally friendly, with no plastic used.

The main body looks like this.

On the top side, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack on the left side facing the screen.

On the right side of the screen are the 'instant shoot button,' the power button, and the volume button.

On the left side of the device, there is a SIM card slot at the top, and 'XPERIA' is engraved at the bottom.

USB Type-C port on the bottom side.

There are two lenses side-by-side on the back: one 16mm ultra-wide-angle lens and one 24mm/48mm wide-angle lens. The phone comes in charcoal black, turquoise, and white.

The lens part protrudes about 2mm.

The SIM card slot tray is single.

You can also insert a microSD card behind the SIM card tray.

The weight was 167g.

The Xperia 10 VII is sold at Sony stores and other locations, and the SIM-free device is sold on Amazon for 74,800 yen including tax.
