We visited the coloring booth at Shikodai★Asobi's 'Digital Art Competition Anniversary' where you could try coloring on a tablet and participate in a coloring contest. [Machi★Asobi Vol. 29]

While I was walking around

the Machi★Asobi Vol. 29 venue, I came across the ' Shikodai★Asobi Digital Art Contest Anniversary Coloring Experience Booth ,' where you could try coloring with an LCD pen tablet and Copic markers. It looked interesting, so I took a look inside.

I found the Shikodai★Asobi 'Digital Picture Contest Anniversary' coloring experience booth at Poppo-gai Shopping Arcade.

At a booth hosted by the Design Course of the Department of Human Life Sciences at Shikoku University, you can experience coloring using Wacom's LCD pen tablets,

the Wacom Cintiq 24 and Wacom Cintiq 16 .

The booth was lined with LCD pen tablets.

The LCD pen tablet is connected to an iMac with an M4.

You can also hand-color using Copic Sketch Basic .

The line drawings used in the coloring book were drawn by Chamo, a student at Shikoku University.

Inside the booth, participants were coloring in their own way.

It's interesting to see how different people use different colors.

Some people used a flat, anime-style paint style, while others used overlapping brush strokes.

The hand-drawn corner was also a big success.

The Shikodai★Asobi 'Digital Art Contest Anniversary' coloring experience booth is, as the name suggests, an event related to the 'Digital Art Contest Anniversary' contest.

The booth displayed entries from the 'Digital Art Contest Anniversary' and allowed visitors to vote for their favorite coloring book. There was a wide variety of entries, and just looking at them was bound to yield new discoveries.

Details of the 'Digital Art Contest Anniversary' can be found at the link below. Participants can download and color their line drawings, and if their work is selected as a winner, they'll receive a Copic Sketch, a pen tablet, a 12-month license for Clip Studio Paint Pro, and more. The submission period ends on October 20, 2025, at 7:00 PM, so hurry up and check it out!
