MI6, the world's most popular unofficial James Bond fan site, reported that Amazon has removed guns from key art for the James Bond films available on its streaming service, Amazon Prime Video. The key art has been cropped or otherwise altered to remove the guns from view.

Examples of key art in which guns have been unnaturally erased include 'Dr. No,' ' A View to a Kill ,' 'GoldenEye, ' and 'Spectre .'

In 'Dr. No,' Sean Connery's James Bond's gun was erased; in 'A View to a Kill,' Roger Moore's James Bond's hands were made abnormally long; in 'GoldenEye,' Pierce Brosnan's James Bond's hand position and gun were edited out; and in 'Spectre,' Daniel Craig's James Bond 's gun was cropped out of view.



In addition, it was pointed out that a gun had been removed from one scene used in the thumbnail for ' Skyfall, ' which is available on Amazon Prime Video.




The fact that the gun has been removed from the key art has become a hot topic on X (formerly Twitter).




Following Amazon's lead, some people have started giving James Bond things other than guns.
