Apple removes immigration enforcement app 'Eyes Up,' which is an archive app rather than a real-time information sharer

Apps related to the activities of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which cracks down on illegal immigrants in the United States, have been removed from the App Store one after another, and it has been discovered that the latest to be removed is an app called ' Eyes Up .' While the apps that have been removed so far were apps that reported and shared the activities of ICE officers in real time, 'Eyes Up' was an archive app that allowed users to view articles and videos of ICE's past activities.

In the United States, under the second Trump administration, which took office in 2025, ICE has been cracking down on illegal immigrants, leading to protests against ICE's activities. Apps that share information about ICE crackdowns are gaining popularity as a way to respond to emergencies.

Additionally, Red Dot, an app that, like ICEBlock, allows users to share real-time activity of ICE agents, has been removed from the App Store and Google Play.

'Eyes Up,' which has recently been removed from the App Store, is not a reporting app like 'ICEBlock' or 'Red Dot,' but rather an archive app where users can view articles and videos about ICE's past activities.
Mark, the developer of Eyes Up, told the news site 404 Media, 'Our goal is to hold government accountable, and we don't do real-time tracking or anything like that. I think the Trump administration was just confused by the amount of incriminating video we had.'
As Mark stated, the information archived on Eyes Up was evidence that could be needed in future lawsuits, and it was likely inconvenient for the government that was cracking down on the information.
'Eyes Up' can also be accessed from a web browser.
