The Internet Archive is a non-profit organization established in 1996 with the goal of providing scholars, historians, and researchers with permanent access to internet content. Its collection ranges from breaking news to small personal websites, and archived web pages are available for anyone to view using the 'Wayback Machine' feature.

To commemorate this milestone, an event is planned for October 2025. On October 9th, local time, founders Brewster Kale and Tim Berners-Lee will discuss the rise of the internet and its continuing explosive impact on society, the importance of internet archiving, and other developments in the growth and use of the internet.
