Asahi Soft Drinks Co., Ltd. will be releasing Mitsuya Hachiremo , a limited-time drink that combines the fruity flavor of lemon with the sweetness of gentle honey, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. This modern take on the 1990 Mitsuya Hachiremo has been reimagined as the Reiwa-era Hachiremo, perfect for the fall and winter seasons. I was curious to see what it tasted like, so I gave it a try.

It contains 52 calories per 100ml, or 260 calories per 500ml. The ingredients are sugar, lemon juice, honey, and lemon peel extract.

I immediately poured it into a glass.

The liquid is clear with a slight yellowish tint.

When you drink it, the fizzy texture of the carbonation fills your mouth with the gentle sweetness of honey and the refreshing acidity of lemon. The lemon peel extract gives it a slight bitterness, making it a carbonated drink that's not just sweet, but also allows you to fully enjoy the fruity flavor.

'Mitsuya Hachiremo' will be available for purchase at retail stores nationwide from Tuesday, September 2, 2025, with a suggested retail price of 194 yen including tax. At the time of writing, it was also possible to order from Amazon.co.jp, with a set of 24 bottles costing 3,310 yen including tax (approximately 138 yen per bottle).
