The ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X portable gaming PCs, originally scheduled for release at the end of 2025, have now been announced for release on Thursday, October 16, 2025. While prices have not yet been announced, the ROG Xbox Ally is expected to cost around 100,000 yen, and the ROG Xbox Ally X around 150,000 yen.

The ROG Xbox Ally and its higher-end model, the ROG Xbox Ally X, have evolved to incorporate that feedback and integrate the console and Xbox One controller. The ROG Xbox Ally is powered by the Ryzen Z2 A SoC, while the ROG Xbox Ally X is powered by the Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme SoC.

When it was announced in June 2025, the release date was set to be 'end of 2025,' but it has now been revealed that it will be released on October 16, 2025.
It will be available wherever ROG Ally is sold, including the United States, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, India, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Romania, the Czech Republic, Poland, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand. Xbox Ally X will be available in China first, with Xbox Ally scheduled for release in early 2026.
Prices have not yet been announced, but news site The Verge reports that, based on leaked information, the ROG Xbox Ally will cost $599 (approximately 103,000 yen) and the ROG Xbox Ally X will cost around 899 euros (approximately 154,000 yen).
The Verge states that the company originally planned to announce the release date and price at the same time, but that it may not have been able to announce the final information due to information leaks and uncertainty surrounding US tariffs.
