Immerse yourself in anime with live drawing, talk shows, free screenings, and workshops at 'Anime Fantasista Japan 2025'



Anime Fantasista Japan 2025, an event that brings together world-class creators and anime fantasistas in Musashino City, will be held at Kichijoji Excel Hotel Tokyu on Saturday, August 16th and Sunday, August 17th, 2025.

Arriving at Kichijoji Station



It takes just a 5-minute walk to reach the venue, Kichijoji Excel Hotel Tokyu.



A large panel was installed in front of the entrance.



The banquet halls where the event will be held are on the 7th and 8th floors. First, take the escalator to the 2nd floor and then take the elevator. Next to the elevator, there was a poster featuring the key visual designed by Takeshi Honda.



The venue map looks like this. The reception, workshop classrooms, satellite stage, and exhibition space are located on the 7th floor, while the main stage is in the hall on the 8th floor. Visitors should first check in on the 7th floor. Admission is free, but there is a viewing fee for events on the main stage, except for the live drawing in the morning.



In the lobby on the seventh floor, panels were displayed introducing animation production companies based in Musashino City, including

ame pippin , which is producing ' The Life of a Daisy ' due for release in 2026, WIT STUDIO , which is behind the critically acclaimed ' Shin Samurai Densetsu YAIBA ,' and SoK , which produced ' Shinsei Galverse ,' which is being streamed on YouTube.



Science SARU , which produced ' Dandadan ,' SILVER LINK, which is currently airing ' A Bouquet for an Ugly Girl ,' JCSTAFF , which is working on 'Infinite Gacha,' ' Which Way is It Now!? ' and ' One Punch Man Season 3 ,' and Studio Cab, which is responsible for children's anime such as ' The Hikawamaru Story .'



Studio Deen , which is currently airing ' Binan Koukou Chikyu Boeibu Haikara! ', Studio Ponoc , which produced ' Roger in the Attic ', STUDIO4℃ , whose ' ChaO ' is currently being released to great acclaim, and Space Neko Company, known for 'Pop Team Epic ' and other works.



Seven Arcs is currently producing ' Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance ,' Tatsunoko Productions is known most recently for the ' KING OF PRISM ' series, Trigger is currently airing ' New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT ,' and Production IG is currently airing ' Kaiju No. 8. '



The 'Masterpiece! Anime Screening' will feature 'Let Me Hear Ai's Singing Voice,' 'Nikuko-chan of the Fishing Port,' 'Miss Hokusai,' 'The Calligrapher,' and 'Gurren Lagann the Movie: Guren-hen/Lagann-hen.' Admission is also free.



At the artwork exhibition, you can get a close look at valuable materials such as original drawings, reproductions of original drawings, storyboards, and character design materials. Some of the items can even be touched and looked at. Please note that photography is prohibited, with some exceptions.



In the case of 'ChaO,' it was possible to check some of the storyboards and the original drawings for that section.



In this scene, Chao, in his fish form, confesses his feelings to Stefan. Stefan himself has no idea why he was chosen, but the mystery is revealed throughout the story.

Additionally, autographed cards featuring guests who attended 'ANIME FANTASISTA JAPAN 2024,' including Kise Kazuya, Kameda Yoshinori, China, Yamamoto Ken, Iwaisawa Kenji, and Team Anzu-chan (Kuno Yoko, Iizuka Chika, and Hirai Akane), were also on display and were available for photo-taking.



In the 'Workshop Digital Animation Course,' you can receive instruction on digital animation directly from professionals active in the anime industry. Each session lasts 90 minutes, and the session starting at 7 PM on the 16th is especially geared towards those hoping to work in the anime industry. Participation is 200 yen per person.



On the 7th floor satellite stage, there will be a 3D live drawing of 'ChaO' on the 16th, and a live background art drawing by Kuroda Tomonori on the 17th.



The 3D live drawing included a demonstration of how the robots that appear in 'ChaO' were modeled.



The main stage on the 8th floor will host live drawing and talk shows.



There was a live drawing session for 'ChaO.' A human-like Chao was being drawn.



The work being done on the tracing table is filmed with a ceiling camera and projected onto a screen.



Other programs scheduled for the 16th include 'Yoshida Erika and Anime Scripts,' '25 Years of Imaishi Hiroyuki,' 'Creator Talk with Maeda Masahiro & Honda Yu,' 'Animator Talk with Nakamura Yutaka,' and 'Animator Talk with Kameda Yoshinori & Maenami Takeshi.' On the 17th, there will be 'Asano Kyoji Live Drawing [Anime PSYCHO-PASS],' 'Asano Kyoji & Shiotani Naoyoshi's 'PSYCHO-PASS,'' ''ChaO' Aoki Yasuhiro & Kojima Yamato,' and 'Yamashita Seigo & Kutsuna Kenichi's 'Web-related Challenges and Future Challenges.''

Admission to the live drawing is free, but tickets are required for the talk show, with a 2-day pass costing 15,400 yen (tax included), a 1-day pass costing 7,700 yen (tax included), and the program costing 2,200 yen (tax included).

Additionally, at Kichijoji Atre, a commercial facility directly connected to Kichijoji Station, there was a panel displaying the film 'ChaO,' which has a close connection to this year's Anime Fantasista Japan.



From Tuesday, August 12th to Sunday, August 31st, if you spend 1,500 yen or more (tax included) in a single transaction, you will receive an Ultra Miracle Sticker from the movie 'ChaO.'

The live drawing session by Kyoji Asano on the main stage was as follows:



The four characters from the anime 'PSYCHO-PASS' are drawn: Kogami Shinya, Tsunemori Akane, Ginoza Nobuchika, and Makishima Shogo.



Additionally, a live background art drawing by Tomonori Kuroda was held on the satellite stage, depicting the Ticket Street shopping arcade in front of Musashi-Sakai Station.
