First, install 'uBlock Origin Lite' from the App Store. Click the link above or search for 'uBlock Origin Lite' and tap 'Get.'

Once the installation is complete, tap 'Open.'

When you launch the 'uBlock Origin Lite' app, the only message that appears is 'You can enable uBlock Origin Lite as a Safari extension in the Settings app.'

Open the 'Settings' app and tap 'Apps' at the bottom of the screen.

Tap 'Safari.'

Tap 'Extensions' in the middle of the screen.

Among the extensions there is 'uBlock Origin Lite', but for some reason it was grayed out and I couldn't turn it on.

When I looked into this, I found

that a similar question had been posted on Apple's official support community , and the answer I got was that the extension would become available if I opened the Settings app, tapped 'Screen Time,' then 'Content & Privacy Restrictions,' and turned off 'Content & Privacy Restrictions,' so I tried that.

The extension will then become available. Tap 'uBlock Origin Lite.'

Tap the toggle next to 'Allow Extensions.'

If it turns green, it's OK.

I discovered an ad while browsing the web in Safari with uBlock Origin Lite turned off.

I turned on 'uBlock Origin Lite' and was able to remove these ads.

In addition, since many websites are based on advertising revenue, it is unbearable to erase the ads ... For those who say, GIGAZINE offers a secret club that hides ads, so if you are someone who always reads GIGAZINE and wants to support it, please consider it.
