Ikkaku Senkin 'Kabu' Ramen is only available at Ikkakuya's Shinjuku Yasukuni-dori branch, which is why I came to Shinjuku.

The address of the Shinjuku Yasukuni-dori store is '
Ikkakuya's Shinjuku Yasukuni-dori branch is located at the end of Godzilla Road in Kabukicho, where Yasukuni-dori ends.

A sign was posted in front of the store announcing the arrival of 'Ikkaku Senkin 'Kabu' Ramen.'

So, I bought a meal ticket from the ticket machine. The regular price is 30,000 yen including tax, but for a limited time only, it is 2,980 yen including tax.

After handing over the meal ticket and taking a seat, I waited about 10 minutes and this was what was brought to me. Just as in the photo, everything was gold.
The bowl is golden.

The spoon and chopsticks that come with it are also gold. The chopsticks bag is also luxuriously decorated like a gift envelope. The lacquered tray also shines brightly.

The bottom half of the chopsticks was black, and the handles were distinctively wavy.

Nori seaweed with 'Garden Co., Ltd. Ichi Share Certificate' and the Ichikakuya logo printed in gold leaf

The toppings were egg, spinach, and roasted pork, and it was sprinkled with gold leaf.

The five large sheets of nori seaweed were covered entirely in gold leaf.

However, the back side is just regular seaweed.

The Ikkaku Senkin 'Kabu' ramen also comes with special mentaiko rice, garnished with nori seaweed from the Ikkaku certificate and sprinkled with gold leaf on top of the mentaiko.

It looks very gorgeous and shiny gold, but the taste is just normal ramen. The soup is rich pork bone, but I got the impression that there was a little less soup compared to the noodles.

The chewy medium-thick noodles mix well with the soup. The nori seaweed is quite large and covered with gold leaf, so when it absorbs the soup and becomes soft, it becomes difficult to chew. When you wrap the spinach and noodles in the seaweed and eat it, it looks like you are scooping up a lump of gold, and it becomes difficult to tell whether you are eating ramen or something else.

You can also add onions and garlic provided on the table to change the flavor partway through.

'Ikkakusenkin Kabu Ramen' is only available at Ikkakuya's Shinjuku Yasukuni-dori store for a limited time from July 14th (Mon) to September 8th (Mon), 2025. The regular price is 30,000 yen including tax, but until July 31st (Thu), you can order it for 2,980 yen including tax. Please note that it is limited to the first 10 meals from 9:00 am every day.
