I saw a lot of sculptures at 'Eva One Festival' to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the broadcast of Evangelion

'Evangelion Wonder

Festival' was held in 2020 to coincide with the theatrical release of 'Evangelion : 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time.' To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the start of Evangelion broadcasting and the 40th anniversary of Wonder Festival, 'Eva Wonder Festival' was held as part of Wonder Festival 2025 [Summer] for the first time in five years.

On the wall was a design featuring Kaiyodo's Eva products from the 30 years since 1995.

The 2m-tall 'ART MASTER 3D Evangelion Unit-01' was sculpted by Shinobu Matsumura, a leading figure in the world of biological modeling and recipient of the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Commissioner's Award.

'The Second Apostle Lilith' by '

Resurrection Workshop 3ON '. This is her TV version appearance, wearing a mask with the Seele mark.

'Wakaichi and Zan-chan' by 'Ayanami Rei. Asuka'. 'Silence and movement, innocence and arrogance. The souls of these two people who seem to be polar opposites but who reflect and complement each other, come together in a triangle and become one in harmony,' the author commented.

'Nagisa Kaworu' by '

Rinne '. He is sitting on a headless statue, just like when he first appeared in the main story.

'Giant Unit 2' by '

LMU-23 '. Its vivid body color and supple, extended arms are distinctive.

Also made by LMU-23, 'Evangelion Unit 2 The Beast' exudes a ferocious look, ready to pounce at any moment.

Created by 'LMU-23', 'Evangelion Unit 2, 4th Beast Form (Type 2)'.

'The 6th Angel Gagiel' by

Yamataku . According to the author's comments, it was made for '2015//The Last Year Of Ryohji Kaji' published in 1997, and is made of stone powder clay Randall. In the TV version, it was Asuka's first opponent, but it did not appear in the new movie version because the original drawing for that episode was lost.

'Adam (Palm-sized)' by '

Mekappal '. He appears in very few scenes in the story, and the work was 'arranged and sculpted in my own way with exaggerated details.'

'EVA - MOMO Unit 01' and 'Angel MoMo' by '

Mikan Kappa '. This is a collaboration figure between Uparupa 's original character 'P - MOMO', Unit 01, 'MoMo' and the Fourth Angel. 'Angel MoMo' has two overlapping faces, and you can recreate the playback scene by shifting the first face.

'EVA Unit 2 (TV)' by '

Bear Pocket '. According to the creator, 'when I watched the TV version, I wanted to see the awakening scene with a mouth like the first unit, instead of the four eyes, and I wanted to embody that as a child's memory, so I made this.'

Also by Bear Pocket, 'The Descent of EVA Unit 6' expresses the fate of being eroded by the 12th Angel rising from the mountain of skeletons in Central Dogma with red lines floating on its body.

'Rei Ayanami' by '

Bubutata Model Shop '. Based on the theme of 'blossoming chrysanthemums', this work depicts Rei blooming in a rotting swamp.

'3D Pixel Art Evangelion Unit-01' by

Hirofus . After abstracting it in 32 x 16 x 16 pixels, it was painted in 16 colors inspired by the color limitations of retro game consoles.

'Mari Illustrious Makinami' and 'Asuka Langley Shikinami' by

'Higata Tameshi '. Mari has a slight smile on her face, while Asuka has her mouth tightly closed, creating contrasting expressions.

The ATAC (Anime and Tokusatsu Archive Organization) booth next to the Eva Wonder Festival also had a special display of laser disk jackets as part of an Eva-related exhibit.

This is the cover illustration for the LD/VHS release of Genesis 0:1 (Volume 1).

The cels were on display, and as you'd expect, they were exactly as they were.

This is the original cover art for Genesis 0:11, depicting Asuka inside the entry plug.

Jacket illustration, cel art and background art for Genesis 0:12. This volume contains an important episode about Rei.

The Genesis 0:14 jacket illustration features everyone together. As an illustration, Asuka, Shinji, and Rei are on the right, while their classmates Hikari, Kensuke, and Toji are in the center, which gives a slightly strange impression, but on the laserdisc, the cover is folded over in the middle to make a double-sided cover. On the VHS, the illustration is used as is, horizontally long.

Evangelion has been popular as a three-dimensional sculpture since it was first broadcast on TV in 1995, and many sculptures have been created. With the 30th anniversary of Evangelion's broadcast and the 40th anniversary of Wonder Festival being exactly 10 years apart, it's possible that some kind of project will be held in the future.
