According to research company Circana, game hardware sales in the United States increased 249% year-on-year to more than $978 million (about 140 billion yen) in June 2025. The Nintendo Switch 2 is thought to have contributed greatly to sales, with 1.6 million units sold in the month since its release on June 5, 2025.
