Rain Pomodoro can be used for free from your browser without downloading. When you access the site, a timer will be displayed.

The timer is divided into three types: 'FOCUS', 'SHORT' and 'LONG'. The Pomodoro Technique is a technique that divides a large task into 25-minute units, works on it, and takes a 5-minute break in between, making a set of '25 minutes of work → 5 minutes of break' to concentrate on work in a short period of time and increase efficiency. 'FOCUS' is the work time, 'SHORT' is the interval break time, and 'LONG' is a longer break time taken after repeating work and breaks several times. With Rain Pomodoro, you can practice the Pomodoro Technique with a time allocation that suits you by adjusting each time.

You can adjust the time by clicking the '- - ', '- ', '+ ', and '++' buttons. '-' and '+' increase or decrease the time by 1 minute, and '- - ' and '++' increase or decrease the time by 5 minutes.

Click 'START' to start the timer. You can also start or pause the timer with the space bar.

When the timer started, the sound of rain started to play.

When your work session is over, the rain sound will stop. Click 'SHORT' to display the timer for the interval time you set, then click 'START' to start. The rain sound will start again.

As you complete each session, the number 'Sessions:' in the upper left corner will increment, allowing you to see how many tasks you have completed.

The button in the upper right corner of the screen is full screen mode, which allows you to make Rain Pomodoro full screen and display it large on your PC monitor, allowing you to work on your tasks at hand.

You can also set more detailed timer settings from the settings icon.

The ambient sound during the timer can be selected from 'Rain', 'Running Water', 'ASMR' which sounds like a burst of sound,

From 'Rain Effect', you can turn off the rain animation, or adjust the strength of the rain. Select 'Storm'.

Below is the Rain Pomodoro screen when it is set to 'Medium' on the left and 'Storm' on the right. When set to 'Storm', the raindrops are larger and the amount and force of the rain are stronger.

You can change the background from 'Background'. There are light and dark, warm and cool backgrounds, so you can choose according to your preference.

The 'Floating Particles' setting at the bottom of the settings is also a setting related to the Rain Pomodoro screen. Try unchecking it.

When you uncheck 'Floating Particles', the floating particles on the screen disappear. The particle effect, along with the rain animation, is expected to have the effect of activating concentration, but if you feel that it is distracting you, you can delete it from the settings.

'I created Rain Pomodoro because most pomodoro timers feel too dry,' creator ShadowUnknown told Hacker News. 'I wanted to create something that actually draws you in, with the sounds of rain, brown noise, soft ASMR, and Middle Eastern music. I also added an animated background so it wasn't just a blank screen.'
