Production of new Cyborg 009 anime 'Cyborg 009 Nemesis' has been confirmed
It has been announced that 'Cyborg 009 Nemesis' will be produced as a new animated film based on manga artist Shotaro Ishinomori's masterpiece, 'Cyborg 009.'

Cyborg 009 is a manga that began serialization in 1964, depicting 9 cyborgs, including Shimamura Joe, who have been modified to have 'acceleration devices' attached to them, fighting evil. The story was concluded once in the 'Underground Empire Yomi Arc' that was serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine in 1966, but it was continued as a life's work after that, moving across multiple publications. Ishinomori passed away in 1998, leaving the work unfinished.

The anime adaptation has been produced intermittently since the first theatrical film was produced and released in 1966, with three TV anime series and five theatrical films and OVAs produced.
'Cyborg 009 vs. Devilman,' released in 2015, is a crossover between 'Cyborg 009' and Go Nagai's masterpiece 'Devilman.'
This time, the only announcement made was that a new animation will be produced, but no details have been revealed yet.
