According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, who is familiar with Apple-related inside information, Apple is planning to release several new products by spring 2026. New products scheduled to be released by spring 2026 include a new entry-level iPad and iPad Air, an external monitor for Macs, and the iPhone 17e.

In addition, Apple is also planning to release new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models. The new Macs were originally scheduled for release in 2025, but at the time of writing, Apple is considering postponing the release until the first half of 2026.

Apple releases a new iPhone every fall. However, Apple is aiming for more stable revenue growth, and it seems that the secret to this is to release a large number of new products around spring. After a temporary surge in sales due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Apple has suffered from unstable demand over the past two years. One of the reasons for Apple's poor performance is thought to be the delay in launching new models of several devices, including the iPad.

The entry-level iPad, scheduled to be released in the first half of 2026, will have two development codes, 'J581' and 'J582,' and the iPad Air will have four code names, 'J707,' 'J708,' 'J737,' and 'J738.' At the time of writing, the latest models of iPad and iPad Air were released in March 2025 as follows:

The new iPad model is scheduled to be released around March or April 2026, and will have a similar appearance to the current model, but will be equipped with a faster chip. The current iPad model uses the A16 chip installed in the iPhone 14 Pro released in 2022.

Meanwhile, Garman points out that the iPad Air will likely be upgraded from the M3 chip to the M4 chip, but other changes will be limited and it will be released around the same time as the new iPad.

According to Garman, the iPad Air is a mid-range model among Apple's tablets, but the 13-inch model released in 2024 is a hit product. Its large display size and relatively affordable price are the reasons for its popularity.

In addition, a new iPad Pro is also scheduled to be released, which could arrive as early as October 2025. The iPad Pro is expected to be equipped with an unannounced M5 chip.

It has also been pointed out that Apple may launch a new, cheaper iPhone model, the iPhone 17e, in the first half of 2026. The iPhone 17e will have a similar appearance to the iPhone 16e, but the chip is expected to be upgraded from the A18 to the A19.

The 14-inch MacBook Pro and 16-inch MacBook Pro equipped with the M5 were scheduled to be released in the second half of 2025, but Apple appears to have postponed the release to the first half of 2026. Apple has previously released MacBook Pros equipped with the M1, M3, and M4 in October and November, and the M2-equipped MacBook Pro in January 2023.

The M5-equipped MacBook Pro will be the last MacBook Pro to follow the design of the MacBook Pro released in 2021. The successor model is scheduled to have a new case and transition to an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display. The new MacBook Air is also scheduled to be released at the same time.

Apple is also planning to release a new external monitor for Macs, its first since the Apple Studio Display in 2022. The monitor is scheduled to be released in early 2026.

In addition, Apple is continuing to develop a smart home hub device, which may also be released in the first half of 2026. However, because the smart home hub relies on Apple's voice recognition assistant, Siri, the release of the hub has been indefinitely postponed following Apple's failure to upgrade Siri with Apple Intelligence.
