Linda Yaccarino, CEO of X (formerly Twitter), has announced her intention to step down from her position on July 9, 2025.

'After two incredible years, I have decided to step down as CEO of X. When Elon Musk and I first discussed X's vision, I knew it was a fantastic opportunity to execute on the company's extraordinary mission. I am incredibly grateful that he has entrusted me with the responsibility to protect free speech, turn around the company, and transform X into the go-to app for everything,' said Yaccarino.

After leading the advertising business at major media company NBCUniversal for over 10 years, CEO Yaccarino joined Twitter (now X) in 2023 and served as its permanent CEO.

Twitter was later renamed 'X' on July 24, 2023. It was in the midst of a turmoil in which major companies were canceling advertising one after another due to the statements and measures of its owner, Mr. Musk. CEO Yaccarino, a veteran of the advertising industry, launched various measures to restore X's sharply declining advertising revenue.
