Google is focusing on utilizing AI, and 'AI summary' is displayed in Google search. For example, if you search for 'iPhone water damage' on Google, 'AI summary' will be displayed at the top of the search results, 'a summary of what to do if your iPhone is submerged in water, based on the contents of the web pages included in the search results.'

Google has begun testing a new feature called 'Audio Overview,' which summarizes search results and outputs them as audio.

Here's what the Google search results look like with Audio Overview enabled. An audio playback area has been added to the bottom of the 'People also ask' section.

The screenshots released by Google include a 3 minute 46 second audio response to the search phrase 'how do noise cancellation headphones work' based on 10 web pages. The voice was generated using Google's Gemini AI.

The official release date for Audio Overview is unknown.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai has reported that the number of monthly users of its 'AI-driven summary' service has reached more than 1 billion.

It has also been reported that the 'AI-generated summaries' have led users to visit each page in the search results less frequently, resulting in a significant drop in website traffic from Google searches.
