The world's number one supercomputer is 'El Capitan' equipped with AMD processors, Japan's fastest 'Fugaku' is in 7th place, and Sakura Internet's 'Sakura ONE' is ranked 49th.

The June 2025 edition of the ' TOP500 ' supercomputer performance ranking has been announced. In first place is 'El Capitan' installed in the United States, 'Fugaku' is ranked 7th, and 'Sakura ONE' is ranked 49th.

The top 10 machines in the June 2025 edition of the TOP500 are as follows. First place was 'El Capitan,' jointly developed by AMD, the US Department of Energy, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). The first to third places were occupied by the same supercomputers as in the November 2024 ranking , but 'JUPITER,' equipped with an NVIDIA processor, suddenly rose to fourth place. In addition, Japan's fastest supercomputer, 'Fugaku,' ranked seventh.

JUPITER, ranked 4th, is a supercomputer developed in cooperation with NVIDIA and the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU), and is built on NVIDIA's 'Grace Hopper'. NVIDIA commented, 'JUPITER is the fastest in Europe, and has demonstrated twice the performance on AI workloads compared to the next fastest system,' and 'JUPITER delivers 60 gigaflops (GFLOPS) of processing power per watt, making it the most energy-efficient of the top five TOP500 machines.'

In addition, Sakura ONE, a cloud-based supercomputer system built by Sakura Internet Laboratories, is ranked 49th in the TOP500. Sakura ONE is a system built with the NVIDIA H100 SXM 80GB GPU, and has a performance of 33.95 petaflops (PFLOPS).
