You can see how Navrim works by watching the demo movie below.

When the movie is played, someone says in a theatrical tone, 'Oh, chess. A boring game in the vast, empty universe,' and the audio is transcribed on the laptop screen. Since the character is called Marvin and describes himself as having a 'brain the size of a planet,' the original may be a robot of the same name that appears in the science fiction novel ' The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy .'

The two speakers continued to exchange light-hearted words, but when one of them said, 'Move the pawn to E4,' the robotic arm to the right of the laptop responded and moved a piece on the chessboard.

Navrim can be used for more than just chess.

You can also open and close the 3D printer case.

According to Charles Yong, founder of Vassar Robotics, who announced Navrim on the social news site Hacker News, Navrim is an upgrade of the open source robot arm platform 'LeRobot SO-101'.

Navrim is equipped with two 480p resolution cameras and is integrated with large-scale language models (LLMs) such as Opus 4 via the MCP (Motion Control Policy) server, allowing users to control Navrim with just 30 minutes of training and natural language instructions.

Navrim is available in a Founder's Edition for $199 (about 28,800 yen), an Unassembled Kit for $219, and an Assembled Kit for $299 (about 43,000 yen), but all of them were sold out at the time of writing.
