'I wish I had never read books...!'
Mifuyu Makura is a high school student living in Yominagacho, a town of books. She is the daughter of a family that has managed the huge library 'Mifuyukan' founded by her great-grandfather for generations, but she herself does not like books. One day, a book from Mifuyukan is stolen, and Yominagacho is suddenly engulfed in a world of stories. It is a curse placed on books - 'Book Curse'. The key to breaking the curse lies in the stories - to save the town, Mifuyu sets out on a journey with a mysterious girl, Mashiro, to catch the book thief. Who is the thief? And what is the secret of the 'curse' and the 'Mifuyu family' that even Mifuyu does not know...?
The two girls travel through the 'world of books' in this mystery-solving fantasy adventure! When all the curses are lifted, you will encounter the truth that was stolen from you...




The director will be Fukuoka Daisei, who has worked on

Radiant and Kamikuzu☆Idol , while character design and animation director will be Kurosawa Keiko, who worked on Scum's Wish and Astra Lost in Space . The script will be written by Nakanishi Yasuhiro, who has worked on Kaguya-sama: Love is War and Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun , and the music will be handled by Oshima Michiru, known for Fullmetal Alchemist and So Ra No Wo To . The production studio will be Kagokan, a part of Kagome Company, which was founded by Higa Yuji, who served as animation producer for Assassination Classroom and Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun.
