This shows the site design from around 2009 when the service was getting on track, the site design that has been used for a long time since it was renewed in 2013, and the new site design that will be introduced.

The new design features a simplified navigation menu with just the magnifying glass icon (search), Home, Shows, Movies, Games, and My Netflix. However, the previous menu is no longer displayed, and you can still view the content by category from the search.

The recommendation display will also be renewed. The current design shows the information about the currently selected work at the top, and below that are visuals that represent the recommended works on one page, known as 'box art.'

The new website is responsive, with visuals displayed in a horizontal row, and only the currently selected work will be displayed larger. In addition, award history and other information will be displayed over the visuals, and work information will be displayed below.

By using the 'Moment' function, you can record points that interest you, such as 'I want to watch the action scene from this point again and again' or 'I love this scene where the atmosphere changes completely.' You can then play the work from the recorded point at any time. Points can also be shared.

The app will also introduce a 'vertical feed' similar to that used in TikTok and other apps, which allows you to swipe vertically to see the next video, allowing you to watch trailers one after the other by swiping.

In addition, the app's recommendation function is enhanced

with AI , allowing it to select recommended works based on vague preferences such as 'something that is fun and exciting.'

The changes will be applied to members worldwide starting May 19, 2025, and may take up to several months to implement.
