The ' Shin-Hamamatsu Project ' will begin on Sunday, April 20, 2025, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the merger of Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, and 11 surrounding municipalities. This project is a collaboration with Evangelion, as Tenryu-Futamata Station on the Tenryu Hamanako Railway in Tenryu Ward, Hamamatsu City, was one of the models for the 'Third Village' that appears in the movie 'Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time.' I went to see the statue of Evangelion Unit-01 that has been installed in the lobby on the first floor of Hamamatsu City Hall.

There was a sign for the 'Statue Viewing Entrance' in front of the entrance to City Hall. On weekdays when City Hall is open, you can view the statue from 8:30 to 17:15. The first floor lobby is also open on weekends and holidays from 10:00 to 16:00, and you can view the statue via the viewing reception desk located at the entrance. Viewing itself is free. You can also view the statue by parking your car in the City Hall parking lot, but you cannot receive any free services when viewing the statue.

After receiving your viewing pass, you will soon come to the lobby where you will see Unit 01.
