Jim Keller's AI processing chip development company 'Tenstorrent' announces AI processing PCIe card 'Blackhole'
Tenstorrent, an AI chip development company whose CEO is Jim Keller, an architect involved in the design of Ryzen's Zen architecture and iPhone SoCs, has announced the Blackhole, an AI accelerator chip for developers.

Blackhole's lineup consists of three models: the Blackhole p100a at $999 (approximately 140,000 yen), the Blackhole p150a at $1,299 (approximately 190,000 yen), and the Blackhole p150b at $1,299 (approximately 190,000 yen).
The Blackhole p100a is powered by Tenstorrent's high-performance processor, the Blackhole Tensix, with 120 Tensix cores, 28GB of GDDR6 memory and operating at up to 300W in an actively cooled form factor for desktop workstations.
The Blackhole p150a is a higher-end model that upgrades the number of Tensix cores to 140 and the memory to 32GB.
There's also the Blackhole p150b, which shares the same basic specs as the Blackhole p150a but is designed for a passively cooled form factor for rackmount servers.

The event also announced that the TT-QuietBox (Blackhole), a model equipped with Blackhole on the Tenstorrent water-cooled desktop workstation TT-QuietBox, was released for $11,999 (about 1.74 million yen).
