Review: I bought a power strip that can be plugged in on the side and it was convenient because I could connect a lot of wide AC adapters without interfering with each other.

Many AC adapters used to charge PCs and smartphones are wide, which can lead to the problem that 'when you plug an AC adapter into a power strip, it blocks the adjacent socket.' I bought a power strip from Sanwa Supply that has a socket on the side, and it was extremely convenient because I could plug in a large number of wide AC adapters without interference.
Sanwa Supply Co., Ltd. releases slim tap that can plug in eight small AC adapters without interference
This is the power strip I've been using so far.

Of the nine sockets on the front, the two closest to the cord are spaced far apart, so you can easily plug in a wide AC adapter.

However, the remaining seven sockets have narrow spacing between them, so you can't plug in wide AC adapters next to each other.

This means that if you want to plug in a large number of wide AC adapters, you can only use six of the nine sockets.

I was having trouble with AC adapters, and on March 11, 2025, Sanwa Supply released a power strip with a side outlet, so I bought one right away. There are two types: the ' TAP-SLIM8N-1 ' without lightning protection and the ' TAP-SPSLIM8N-1 ' with built-in lightning protection. This time I bought the TAP-SPSLIM8N-1 with lightning protection.
The TAP-SPSLIM8N-1 has a total of eight sockets: four on the top and three on the sides.

There is nothing on the other side.

There is one at the tip.

The back side looks like this. There is a magnet embedded in it, so it can be attached to iron desk legs, lockers, etc.

The actual distance between the sockets is approximately 44.5 mm.

The distance between the side sockets is also approximately 44.5 mm.

The sockets are spaced far apart, so you can plug in multiple AC adapters without interference.

You can also use the magnet on the back to attach it to a desk leg or something like that.

When connected to a power source, a green light will come on to indicate that the lightning guard is activated.

The plug swings 180 degrees.

Additionally, the cord is double insulated for safety and durability.

The standard price of TAP-SPSLIM8N-1 is 4,400 yen including tax, and it is sold for 3,491 yen including tax on Amazon.co.jp.
