◆ iPad Air with M3
The M3 chip is equipped with a powerful 8-core CPU, and multi-threaded CPU workflows are up to 35% faster than the previous generation model, the M1-equipped iPad Air. In addition, it is equipped with a 9-core GPU, and graphics performance is up to 40% faster than the M1. The performance of the M3-equipped iPad Air is 2 times faster than the M1-equipped iPad Air and up to 3.5 times faster than the A14 Bionic-equipped iPad Air.
The M3 brings Apple's advanced graphics architecture to the iPad Air for the first time, supporting Dynamic Caching, hardware-accelerated mesh shading and ray tracing. For graphics-intensive rendering workflows, the M3-powered iPad Air is said to deliver up to four times faster performance than the M1-powered iPad Air.
In addition, the M3's Neural Engine is up to 60% faster at AI-based tasks than the M1. Furthermore, the evolution of the M3 chip also supports Apple Intelligence.
The M3-equipped iPad Air is designed for Apple Intelligence, and the Photos app's cleanup tools make it easy to remove unwanted elements from photos.
Natural language search also allows users to find any photo or video by simply describing what they're looking for.
The Image Magic Wand in the Notes app lets users generate beautiful images from rough sketches by simply drawing a circle around the sketch with Apple Pencil.
Additionally, when users draw a circle on an empty space in a note, the Image Magic Wand uses the surrounding context to generate a relevant image that complements the note and makes it more visual.

You can also make your writing even more dynamic with the writing tools.
ChatGPT will also be seamlessly integrated into the writing app and Siri, allowing users to take advantage of ChatGPT's expertise without having to switch applications. Users will be able to access ChatGPT for free without creating an account. ChatGPT access has built-in privacy protection systems, including anonymization of IP addresses. OpenAI will not store user requests. Users will also be able to choose whether to enable ChatGPT integration with the writing app and Siri, and will have full control over when it is used and what information is shared.
Plus, the all-new Magic Keyboard for iPad Air features a larger built-in trackpad for even more precision for fine-tuning tasks and a new row of 14 function keys for easy access to features like screen brightness and volume.

The selling price of the M3-equipped iPad Air will remain the same as before, with the 11-inch model starting at 98,800 yen including tax and the 13-inch model starting at 128,800 yen including tax, and will be released on March 12, 2025.
◆iPad with A16
In addition, a new iPad has been released with twice the minimum storage capacity (128GB) and the A16 chip compared to the previous generation model. The A16-equipped iPad is nearly 30% faster overall performance than the previous generation model, and up to 50% faster overall performance than the A13 Bionic-equipped iPad.
The selling price of the A16-equipped iPad will start from 58,800 yen including tax, and will be released on March 12, 2025.
