Seven-Eleven limited ice cream 'The Crepe pique cafe' taste review where you can enjoy thick and chewy crepe fabric

The

Crepe Pique Cafe, a collaboration between Morinaga & Co.'s The Crepe and Gelato Pique Cafe , will be available exclusively at 7-Eleven on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. The Crepe Pique Cafe uses a 30% thicker batter than the average The Crepe, making it a crepe that lets you enjoy the batter. I was curious to see what it tasted like, so I bought one and tried it.

'The Crepe Pique Cafe', inspired by Gelato Pique Cafe's signature product, will be released on March 4th (Tuesday) | Gelato Pique Cafe

I found 'The Crepe Pique Cafe' in the ice cream section of Seven-Eleven. The price was 218 yen (excluding tax).

I bought 'The Crepe Pique Cafe' and took it home.

It is an ice milk product, containing 7.0% non-fat milk solids, 3.0% milk fat, and 4.0% vegetable fat. Ingredients include crepe sheets, chocolate coating, biscuits, and corn flake powder.

Each piece contains 232kcal.

This is what the inside looks like. The ice cream part is light blue and dotted with biscuit crunch.

When you eat it, the ice cream part has a sweet finish with the taste of sugar more prominent than milk. The biscuit crunch has a crunchy texture that adds a nice accent.

The crepe dough has a chewy texture and retains its shape even after multiple bites. The crepe dough is quite thick, so as you eat it all the way through, the taste of the dough becomes more noticeable than the ice cream.

'The Crepe Pique Cafe' will cost 218 yen (excluding tax) and will be available at 7-Eleven stores nationwide from March 4, 2025.
