McDonald's' New York-inspired menu 'You'll feel like you've been there! NY Burgers' will be available on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Three types of burgers, ' NY BBQ Thick Beef & Cheese ', ' NY Juicy Chicken Crunchy Spicy ' and ' NY Lemon Tartar Shrimp ', will be available. The burgers are a New York-inspired burger series with a stylish look using special square buns, so I tried them out.

I bought three types of 'New York Burgers that will make you feel like you've been there!'

'NY BBQ Thick Beef & Cheese' (540 yen including tax)

The barbecue filling, cheddar cheese, and beef patty were visible protruding from the characteristically raised bun. The bun was topped with

When I flipped the bun over, the beef patty was topped with cheddar cheese, barbecue filling, and mustard sauce.

There is nothing under the beef patty.

I cut it open to see the cross section. When I ate it, the sweet and spicy, slightly smoky flavor of the BBQ filling and mustard sauce, as well as the meaty taste of the 100% beef patty, filled my mouth. The beef patty does not use any binders, so it has a slightly rough texture and a wild taste.

When I flipped the bun over, I found fried chicken, cut lettuce, spicy sauce, and pickles.

Here's what the cross section looks like. The fried chicken is coated with rice crackers, so you can enjoy the crunchy texture when you bite into it. The spicy sauce first gives off a light chili aroma, and then the spiciness kicks in. The spiciness is just enough to give you a tingling sensation, and the freshness of the lettuce means that even people who don't like spicy food can eat it, but the moderate stimulation stimulates your appetite.

'NY Lemon Tartare Shrimp' (490 yen including tax)

Between the bun and the shrimp cutlet are lettuce and white cheddar cheese, and it is topped with lemon tartar sauce.

When you take a bite, the first thing you'll notice is the lemon aroma and sourness, followed by the crispy batter of the shrimp cutlet and the chewy texture of the shrimp. Then you'll be able to taste the cheese and garlic. It has a refreshing taste, but is also quite filling and has a punchy aftertaste, making it a very satisfying dish.
