Apple releases 'Apple Invitation' app that allows users to freely set event names and images and send invitations



On February 4, 2025, Apple released an app called ' Apple Invitations ' that allows users to create event invitations, share them with other users, and notify them of their availability.

Apple Invitation is available on

the App Store . First, search for 'Apple Invitation' in the App Store and tap 'Get.'



Once the installation is complete, tap 'Open' to launch the app.



Tap 'Continue.'



Tap Create Event.



The event setting screen looks like this.



Enter the name, time, and location of the event.



Participants can also share albums and Apple Music playlists with each other.



However, at the time of writing, it was not possible to view images added to the album on an iPhone. However, images can be viewed on the web version.



Tap 'Add background.'



In addition to photos stored on the device, you can set pre-prepared images as the background of the invitation. According to Apple, iPhone 15 Pro and later devices that support

Apple Intelligence can generate original images based on concepts, descriptions, and people in your photo library.



Once you've completed the settings, tap 'Preview.'



The following will be displayed to users who have received an invitation. They can indicate their intention to participate or decline the event by tapping 'Join,' 'Decline,' or 'Tentatively Accept' on the screen. Tap 'Next' in the top left of the screen.



On this screen, you can select who you want to share the invitation with.



Once the invited users respond to the invitation, the page will display the number of participants and their email addresses.



'Apple Invitations help bring your event to life from the moment you create an invitation and create lasting memories long after the event is over,' said Brent Watson, senior director of worldwide product marketing for Apps and iCloud, Apple.

Please note that notifications regarding participation can be sent regardless of whether or not you have an Apple Account, but in order to create an invitation, you must have a paid iCloud+ subscription.
