According to NVIDIA, revenue for the third quarter of fiscal year 2025 increased 94% year-on-year to $35.082 billion (approximately 5.44 trillion yen), operating income increased 110% year-on-year to $21.869 billion (approximately 3.39 trillion yen), net income increased 109% year-on-year to $19.39 billion (approximately 2.99 trillion yen), and gross margin is 73.5%. NVIDIA's revenue has increased year-on-year for the past three consecutive quarters, but the rate has been declining each quarter.
NVIDIA is one of the biggest beneficiaries of the popularity of AI, with its stock price nearly tripling since the start of 2024. This has made NVIDIA the world's most valuable company, surpassing companies like Apple and Microsoft.

The majority of NVIDIA's revenue comes from its data center business. NVIDIA's data center division recorded revenue of $30.8 billion (approximately 4.77 trillion yen) in the third quarter of 2025, up 112% year-on-year. It should be noted that not all of the data center division's revenue comes from chip sales; approximately 10%, or $3.1 billion (approximately 480 billion yen), comes from sales of networking components.
NVIDIA counts major companies such as Microsoft, Oracle, and OpenAI among its customers, many of whom are seeking its next-generation AI chip, Blackwell. According to NVIDIA Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress, 13,000 Blackwell samples have already been shipped to customers, and she said, 'Blackwell is now in the hands of our key partners, who are using it to power their data centers.'
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said Blackwell is 'in full production.' Kress said Blackwell shipments will continue to grow in 2025, leading to Blackwell's revenue reaching several billion dollars in the fourth quarter of 2025. NVIDIA also noted that sales of its H200 AI chip 'grew significantly in the third quarter.'

NVIDIA's gaming business also recorded sales of $3.28 billion (approximately 510 billion yen), driven by increased demand for PC GPUs and increased sales of chips for game consoles.
Additionally, NVIDIA's automotive division recorded revenue of $449 million, up 72% year-over-year. This division includes sales of NVIDIA's robotics chips. Furthermore, NVIDIA's professional visualization division recorded revenue of $486 million, up 17% year-over-year.
Huang also mentioned Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election, saying, 'Whatever the new administration decides, we will naturally support the administration and the highest authority. We will fully comply with any regulations that are introduced in the future.'
