I tried assembling a triangular wood sorrel and a Japanese yew with the 'Mini Houseplant Set' that allows you to make plant models with Lego

The ' LEGO® Icon Mini Houseplant Set ' is a set that allows you to assemble blocks to create nine different plant models. LEGO provided it to us as a prize for

our December 2023 reader giveaway , so we decided to see what kind of plant models we could make from inorganic blocks.

The packaging for the mini houseplant set looks like this. It seems that you can make various sizes of plant models.

The target age is 18 years and over, and the total number of blocks is 758.

Inside the box were six bags of blocks and three instruction manuals.

The instructions provide illustrated assembly steps.

By assembling the blocks in bag number 1, you can make a triangular wood sorrel and a money plant.

The contents of the bag look like this. The relatively small blocks were bundled together in small bags. The blue tool in the bottom right is a remover used to separate the blocks.

I assembled it according to the instructions and the flowerpot was completed.

Below are the white blocks that will be used as the stems and the purple blocks that will become the petals.

By combining white and purple blocks, you can create a triangular oxalis like this.

This is what it looks like when you set a triangular oxalis in a flowerpot.

Assemble the remaining parts to create the money plant.

First, assemble the base and exterior of the flower pot.

This is what it looks like when the exterior is attached around the base.

Attach a curved block to the edge and your flower pot is complete.

The blocks that make up the Kanenonaki look like this.

Combine the blocks to create branches and teeth.

Attach the leaves to the branches.

The jade plant is complete. The shape of the leaves is just like

a real jade plant .

Place the finished jade plant in a flower pot.

This is what it looks like when you set a juniper in a flowerpot.

When set in the flowerpot, the triangular wood sorrel was approximately 50 mm in height, and the jade plant was approximately 81 mm in height.

With the mini houseplant set, you can create models of a variety of plants, including triangular wood sorrel, jade plant, anthurium, Venus flytrap, sundew, pitcher plant, cactus, and more.

At the time of writing, the mini houseplant set is available on Amazon.co.jp for 6,891 yen including tax.
