A review of Hario's convenient cooking appliance 'Cordless 2WAY Blender' that can be used without a power source and can quickly make smoothies and chop with just one unit

Many people find chopping ingredients such as onions and garlic to be a hassle. The Cordless 2WAY Blender has two functions: a food processor and a blender. Just put the ingredients in and press the button to chop them up or make a smoothie. In addition, the Cordless 2WAY Blender can be charged with a USB cable and taken outside for use. I got my hands on this Cordless 2WAY Blender, so I tried it out.

◆Appearance check
The outer box of the 'Cordless 2WAY Blender' looks like this.

Inside the box were the blender's drive unit, a food processor container, a blender container, a food processor lid, a blender lid, and a non-slip pad for the food processor.

Also included is an instruction manual, recipe book, and USB charging cable.

The drive unit looks like this. The only switch is a round ON/OFF switch in the center, and you can't adjust the strength.

When you open the top lid, the connection parts for the blender appear.
There are four rubber pads on the bottom.

By removing the bottom lid, you can connect it to a food processor.

The back is equipped with a USB Type-C port for charging.

A power adapter is not included, so you will need to charge it using your own adapter or by connecting it to a PC.

The blender is marked with measuring lines every 100ml.

When connected to the drive unit it looks like this.

There is also a lid with a drinking spout.

The food processor consists of a cutter, a container, and a non-slip surface.

When combined it looks like this.

Unlike a blender, it is installed with the drive part facing up.

◆Try using it as a food processor
To test the capabilities of the food processor, I prepared onions and peppers.

First, roughly chop it with a knife.

Place chopped ingredients into container.

Once the drive unit is attached, pressing and holding the button will rotate the cutter and chop the ingredients into small pieces.

You can see how ingredients are chopped in a food processor in the following movie.
It was nicely chopped.

◆Try using it as a blender
I had orange juice, bananas and spinach to make a green smoothie.

Cut into bite-sized pieces and pack into containers.

Place the container in the drive unit.

Here's how to make a green smoothie with the blender. It has plenty of power.
The moving parts don't get dirty, so you only need to wash the blender's cutter and container.

Furthermore, if you attach a lid to the drinking spout, it can also be used as a tumbler.
