The Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G SC-55B came in a box like this.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G body looks like this. The color is black.

The accessories included in the box are a USB Type-C charging cable and a SIM card eject tool.

The included items include a quick start guide, but since this was a review, it wasn't included in the box. The AC adapter is also sold separately.

When folded, the cover display is available, measuring approximately 6.2 inches (approximately 6.1 inches when taking into account the curvature) and featuring a Dynamic AMOLED display with a resolution of 2268 x 832 (HD+).

The cover display has a 10-megapixel cover camera.

Behind the cover display is the main camera.

The main camera is a triple-lens setup with a wide-angle lens, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a telephoto lens, all of which are approximately 12 megapixels.

The hinge part looks like this.

When unfolded, the main display is approximately 7.6 inches and is Dynamic AMOLED with a resolution of 2208 x 1768 (QXGA+).

There is a 4-megapixel front camera on the right side of the main display.

On the right side there is a power button and volume button that also serves as a fingerprint sensor.

There was a SIM card slot on the left side.

On the bottom there is a speaker and a USB Type-C terminal.

There are no interfaces on the top, and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G does not have an earphone jack.

Here's a comparison of the iPhone 12 Pro Max (left) and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G when folded: The Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G measures 67.1mm x 158.2mm x 16.0mm (at the thickest hinge) when folded, which is about the same height as the iPhone 12 Pro Max's 78.1mm x 160.8mm x 7.4mm, but is slightly narrower in width.

On the other hand, it is more than twice as thick.

It's slim, so it's easy to take in and out of your pocket, but when you're walking around with it in your pants, the thickness is still a bit of a concern.

The actual weight is 275g, which is about 50g heavier than the iPhone 12 Pro Max at 226g. Therefore, it is a device that feels heavy when carried around.

However, the display size when unfolded is significantly larger than that of the iPhone 12 Pro Max, the largest iPhone currently available.

Combining the advantage of being able to open it halfway and the ability to split multiple apps, you can use it in a standing position like this...

You can use it to browse the web while watching videos, and the display has a built-in front camera, making it ideal for hands-free video calls.

Depending on the lighting, you can see a dent in the folding part, but it wasn't too noticeable during normal use.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G is scheduled to be released in October 2021, with a price of 237,600 yen (tax included) at docomo and au, which has not yet announced the price at the time of writing. In the following article, we will benchmark the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G to see what its essential specifications are.
