According to Atlas Airlines operating, Boeing 767-375 BCF's exclusive freighter flew off George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas as 5 Y 3591 flight from Houston to Miami. According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), around 0:45 pm local time, the shadow suddenly disappeared from the radar at the south east about 30 miles from the airport, radio communication became impossible .


Looking at the route of 5 Y 3591 flight on the day of the accident by Flightradar 24, which is tracking the flight status of airplanes all over the world in real time, the route is cut off steadily at the northern end of Triniti Bay on the outskirts of Houston. According to Flightradar 24, the accident machine (airframe number: N1217A ) was manufactured and operated as Canadian Airliner in 1992, but since then it was renovated to freight aircraft and started airing in Amazon Airlines Plan in April 2017 " Amazon Prime Air "as a large cargo aircraft exclusively operated by Atlas Airlines. According to the record of FAA, the number of flights of N1217A exceeded 20,000 at the time of the accident, and the total flight time seems to be about 90,000 hours.
