Ananova - Boy faked kidnapping to cover for bad report
According to this article, an 11-year-old boy living in Huntsville , Arizona, USA, was doing so poorly in school that he tried to hide his report card by faking it as a kidnapping so that no one would see it.
The boy reportedly told a patrolling police officer, 'On my way home from school, a man in a red car grabbed me by the arm, dragged me into the car, and threatened to take me to a deserted place and kill me. I jumped out of the moving car and tried to go to my grandfather's house, but I left my bag containing my report card in the man's car.'
However, because the boy was carrying a musical instrument, the police officer became curious and questioned him, asking, 'Why did he bring his instrument but leave his bag behind?' When he questioned him, the boy admitted that everything was a lie.
By the way, the report card and bag that the boy 'left in the perpetrator's car' are still missing.
